Chelsea hammer West Ham 5-0 in London derby

Blues make it two wins in a row

Chelsea strengthened their chances of securing European football with a comfortable 5-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues were in control from the start and took the lead through Kai Havertz in the 12th minute. Ben Chilwell doubled the lead just seven minutes later and Thiago Silva made it 3-0 before half-time.

Chelsea continued to dominate after the break and Mason Mount added a fourth goal in the 66th minute. Armando Broja completed the rout with a fifth goal in the 84th minute.

The win moved Chelsea up to sixth place in the Premier League table, just two points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. West Ham remain in 17th place, just two points above the relegation zone.

Chelsea will be looking to continue their good form when they travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday. West Ham will be hoping to bounce back when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League next Saturday.
